Our sweet Morwenna has been mated to Our sweet Trevor !!

Trevor and Morwenna have 3 x successful matings with long ties over 3 days.

Our feeling at 4 weeks gestation is that Morwenna IS in whelp ..... so no ultrasound scan is done and  we wait a week longer to see if there is much difference in the measurements taken around her middle  .....  and at 5 weeks aftereating her dinner and a walk in the rain a definate ‘babybelly’ can be seen !!

We have taken weekly circumferance measurements at 3 points A , B  , C around Morwennas middle :

 A = ribcage behind the elbows

 B = around the last rib before the loin

 C = her ‘waistline’ or ‘tuck up’ just before the pelvic bones start

 WEEK 2      A  = 76cm      B = 73cm      C = 63cm

WEEK 4      A  = 76cm      B = 74cm      C = 64cm

WEEK 5      A  = 76cm      B = 79cm      C = 65cm

WEEK 6      A  = 77cm      B = 86cm      C = 73cm

So by the big changes in her ever growing belly we can safely say Morwenna is not only definately pregnant but that there are most likely quite a few babies in there !!!

The dogs sleep peacefully after their dinner and our 5 year old Sebastian thinks Morwenna makes a very good car park for his cars !!

Morwenna is now 8 weeks pregnant and steadily growing bigger and bigger , she is eating well, still going for  short walks and still running about and active between long deep sleeps .

@ WEEK 8  Morwenna measures

  A = 79cm    B = 99cm    C = 83cm

  & @  day 60 she is :

  A = 79cm   B = 106cm   C = 87cm  !!!

..... so think we can expect quite a few little ones to arrive ......

like last time when she had 12 !! ( 6 x boys & 6 x girls)

Day 61 ~ Morwenna doesnt want to  eat breakfast, lunch or dinner ..... so think things are beginning to happen inside ..... by the evening she is restless and panting ..... and in the early hours of the morning she starts contracting ..... with the first contraction seen at 2.40am and arrival of her first puppy soon after at 3.16 !!

 After his International litters born we are VERY proud to have The FIRST Trevor puppy born in Holland

Soon the second puppy arrives

 .... and then there were 5 !!!

The whelping goes rather easy and quick for Morwenna with puppies arriving every 20 – 40 minutes and soon the whole brood has arrived!

All very even in size and weight with blonde coats and pink foot pads, noses and faces. 

 A full basket of  newborn babies ....  one with a little black nose already  and a few others turning black fast!!

Thursday 1st December ~ The Trevor/Morwenna puppies have all arrived  - 12 delivered in 6 hours !! Sadly the last little girl born didnt make it but we are sure to be kept busy with the 11 to cuddle , care for and rear over the next weeks x Tired out mama can now rest and sleep after being up all night and busy giving birth all morning!

 Our  3 x Gorgeous Girls &  8 x Beautiful Boys all look fine and have strong rooting instincts to find their own teat, latch on and suckle .

 The pigment has come in fast overnight with all eleven puppies already turning black on their noses, faces and feet !!

  The babies are 24 hours old and gaining weight.

 Puppies now 6 days old and  totally relaxed and chilled out in the hands of their  fascinated young visitors .

The first week has been a pattern of constant feeds and sleeps in waves throughout the day and night  .... @ ONE WEEK of age mummy Morwenna decides the gap between feed times can stretch to at least an hour and gets out of the box for a while to lie close by as her babies sleep peacefully.

 The EYES  are OPEN on day 10 for all eleven puppies!

Morwenna has had an ultrasound scan and is confirmed to be in whelp!
Her biggest belly circumference has gone from 74 cm a 4 weeks of her pregnancy to 103 cm around her middle at 8 weeks gestation!

Photos above taken of Morwenna 60 days pregnant in the beautiful tullip fields behind our home (and also with ther mother "Multi Ch Martha of the Hellacious Acres" now nearly 12 years old)
